How a new blog is born?

Hello friends,

The issue of distance learning, or what is called E-Learning, has become increasingly important for many countries in recent years. And even for the whole world, especially during times of crisis like the current Corona crisis.

About me

I served for many years as an editor and journalist. I also worked as a reporter in the most high-quality newspaper in Israel, Haaretz. The method of work of every journalist is well known to me. But less so for the general public.

how a Journalist/Blogger start?

How does a journalist start surveying a particular professional field, where he doesn't even have a faint idea. Especially when the editor calls him to his room and asks him to do so? The most honest answer I can give you: He jumps into the water and starts swimming.

A smart journalist, which is precisely his situation, would prefer to swim in shallow water first. Learns the concepts and terminology of the field. To wonder sometimes, and even to wrong of course, and to correct. Slowly, not in one day, but in weeks and sometimes in months, he will catch a little more confidence and start swimming in the deep water, where he will discover the leading players in the field. And the sub-actors and even the small players.

Over time, if he continues to focus on his professional field, he will begin to gather knowledge. Even more then what he can handle. That will be the moment when our professional journalist will have to choose a more specific niche for himself, where he can already reach more significant achievements, to survey the substantial developments and even touch the cutting edge of technologies or the knowledge.

what in the next weeks and months?

This blog is indeed a habitat and an incubator, for a more professional blog that will be born here one day. And until that happens, I invite anyone it interests to discover how the most important knowledge starts to appear. For those of you who want to join me, I guarantee an exciting adventure of discovery and learning.

yours,

Samuel Meiri-Botshaim, blogger
(And despite everything, a journalist in my soul!)
